What's Coming Up?
Plan ahead

The week of May 2nd will be the 150th edition of RootsWorld Radio.
Program #1 went on the air on Saturday, March 3, 2012, so this is our third birthday, as well.
This week, we'll be focusing on percussion, from the avant garde to folk and funk. We'll also present an audio review of a new anthology of the work of Ghana's King of Highlife, E.T. Mensah. Other artists will include Tim Patterson (performing percussion works by John Bergamo), Brooklyn Gypsies, Fliflet/Hamre (Norway), Andreas Aase (Norway), Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (Puglia, Italy), Pekko Kappi & K.H.H.L. (Finland), Rasgueo (Berlin), Fatoumata Diawara & Roberto Fonseca (Mali/Cuba) and Jonah Sithole & Deep Horizon (Zimbabwe).

The week of April 25th
On the 149th edition of RootsWorld Radio, we'll feature new music from the English quartet Spiro, the Scots/East Anglian trio Lau, and a feature audio review of Basque accordionist Kepa Junkera with vocal group Sorginak, giving "A Little History of the Trikitixa." Other artists will include The Sea Kings (Cornwall), Rana Santacruz (Mexica/US) and Joe Flood (US).
